Thanks to the efforts of directors Debby Greffe and Marian Rafferty, the Shepherd’s Welcome Centre was represented at the inaugural Culture Days celebrations on King Street on Saturday September 26th. Bill Checkley also lent a helping ahnd.
This local version of a Canada wide initiative to feature the Arts and Culture groups across our communities was spearheaded by Russ Disotell with assistance from Meghan Plooy of Brockville’s DBIA.
We were happy to provide general information on the SWC in the form of chatting and answering questions and handing out brochures and other information sheets to interested passersby.
Many thanks to our representatives from the Art Studio and Tole Painting and Quilting for their displays and a special thank you to Bob McDougall and the members of his class who put on a live Tai Chi demo on the closed to traffic King Street.
